Schuberg Philis, a provider of mission critical outsourcing services, appointed Ilja Heitlager as Information Officer. As such, he is responsible for the customer and internal application landscape. Information Officer is a new role at Schuberg Philis; it allows the company to further improve customer value, by promoting co-operation and mutual understanding in the sourcing chain: from the application infrastructure, managed by Schuberg Philis, up to and including the applications, delivered by software partners.

Before joining Schuberg Philis, Heitlager worked as Managing Consultant Software Risk Assessment for the Software Improvement Group (SIG). For various international customers Heitlager assessed the technical quality of their in- or outsourced systems. In addition, he advised Boards of Directors on their core applications, whether they were newly built or end-of-life.
Prior to his tenure at SIG, Heitlager was Director Technology for Vivacadena, an innovative supply chain management solution provider. Heitlager used his knowledge of software development dynamics to build the Vivacadena tool and set up the development, integration and service management processes together with the off-shoring team at India .
His inner drive was always the same: to deliver outstanding software products from the very start to worldwide implementation.
