Experienced Managers on Schuberg Philis’ Advisory Board
Amsterdam, January 31, 2005 - Herald Jongen (Allen & Overy), Bert Blommendaal (Essent) and Geerd Schlangen (Bex van der Schans PR) have joined the Advisory Board of Schuberg Philis. They replace Wim Beltman (President European Division GE Access) and Michiel Westermann (Member of the Advisory Board of the Sociale Verzekeringsbank) who have completed their term of office. Thereby, the Advisory Board of the specialised company for mission critical outsourcing services is complete again. The board supports Schuberg Philis in their strategic, commercial and financial management.
Pim Berger, Managing Director of Schuberg Philis, is pleased with the experienced managers in the Advisory Board. Berger: “Schuberg Philis thinks that things should go differently on the outsourcing market. In fact, we take up the struggle against the establishment, against parties such as EDS, PinkRoccade, Atos Origin, Cap Gemini and IBM. For our young company, it is important to connect experienced managers and established reputations to our organization, in order to emphasize and support the chosen direction.”
Bert Blommendaal (1961) is Division Director at Essent Retail. Beforehand, he was among others Sales Director of the Sales Division at MARS and Managing Director as well as Country Group Director for the Netherlands, Belgium, France and Italy at Hero Consumer Group Benelux.

Before his appointment by Bex van der Schans, Schlangen was General Director and Managing Partner of the consultants Euro RSCG Bikker in Rotterdam for three years. Before that, he was a member of the board at Origin Nederland. In this concern, he was also spokesman of the Board of Directors. Schlangen started his career in 1984 as a communication consultant at Van Sluijs Communicatie in Amsterdam. For 13 years, he was committed to this company as a Director and Managing Partner. Schlangen took over various professional and social administrative functions. Among others, he was Member of the Board of the foundations Stichting Ideële Reclame SIRE (1995-1999) and Stichting Sterrekind (2000-2004).
