Rabobank International Direct Banking extends contract with Schuberg Philis
Schuberg Philis strategic outsourcing partner for Rabobank International Direct Banking
Amsterdam, 4 October 2007 – Rabobank International Direct Banking, a member of the Rabobank Group, has extended its outsourcing contract with Schuberg Philis for a further five years. Schuberg Philis will remain responsible for hosting and managing Rabobank's International Direct Banking (Rabobank IDB) applications and infrastructure environment across both existing and new territories.
Since 2003 Rabobank IDB has launched five internet banks in Belgium, Ireland, New Zealand, Australia and in the Netherlands (Bizner). These internet banks are part of the international growth strategy of the Rabobank Group. Rabobank IDB positions themselves successfully as local on-line savings & investments banks. In the coming years, Rabobank IDB plans to open more direct banks across the globe.
The main reason for extending the contract is that Schuberg Philis focuses solely on total control of mission critical applications and infrastructures for companies who require a high measure of availability and professional risk management, along with the company's ability to respond quickly and flexibly to changing business environments. Schuberg Philis is responsible for implementing new banks as well as delivering 100% availability of the existing Rabobank internet banks. The Schuberg Philis approach of assessing, mitigating and managing the risks of unforeseen circumstances when making changing to mission critical business applications, is key to the success of its customers who rely 24/7 on their outsourced critical information- and transaction systems.
André van der Linden, Head of Shared Services Rabobank IDB: “Our strategic partnership with Schuberg Philis provides a compliant and sustainable banking environment. By supporting multiple internet banks, they have shown that they completely understand internet bank dynamics: a continuous balancing act of flexibility, risk adversity and industry compliance. Rabobank IDB depends highly on local marketing campaigns reacting swiftly to local themes. At the same time, we must be extremely reliable in our availability and on top of that, we operate in a strictly regulated industry. With the support of Schuberg Philis, we remain in full command of our mission critical internet banking environment and are able to continue growing as a leading global internet bank.”
Pim Berger , Managing Director of Schuberg Philis: “For Rabobank IDB we are a strategic partner in realizing their worldwide direct banking objectives. Our business and Rabobank IDB are closely knit with real craftsmanship and the nature of the relationship defining our joint success. It is all about co-production with a collaborative working style, within a clear governance structure .”
