Partners
Managing complex mission critical application infrastructures is challenging – there are so many open architectures available today and each layer of the technology demands very specific skills and people. Although Schuberg Philis has all the necessary expertise and people in-house, we still think it is crucial to have solid partnerships with our application and technology partners. We take full responsibility for the integrity and (100% functional) availability of our customers' application infrastructure. End-to-end, from the networks and systems to the databases and applications. That's how we can guarantee 100% functional availability for customers' mission critical applications. 100% is possible with a drastically different model, a drastically different mindset and in close collaboration with everyone involved.
We like working with our partners as real 'partners' not as third parties. For that reason, our partners are an integral part of our dedicated customers teams right from the start. Together with our customers and partners we build structurally sound solutions and maximize service integration. We make sure that all the required changes and releases for the customer's application infrastructure are implemented following a proper validation cycle.
For our customers, we cooperate as integrated teams with (their) application providers. Two examples:
Rabobank International Direct Banking (Rabobank IDB) has chosen Schuberg Philis' services in combination with the solutions of the core banking application provider Callataÿ & Wouters. For the Rabobank IDB's (video) mission critical application infrastructure which Schuberg Philis hosts and manages, Callataÿ & Wouters (video) as our application partner, is from the beginning an integral part of our Rabobank IDB customer team.
Tetterode's mission critical ERP-application is hosted and managed by Schuberg Philis in a closely-knit partnership with their SAP application provider, Perfect for People.
Naturally within each project, specific (customer-based) technology is used. Schuberg Philis has substantial experience with industry specific technologies and applications. For example Zainet (Energy Trading), Thaler & Kyodo (Banking) and Reuters & Xetra/Eurex (Stock Trading).
We are completely vendor neutral with respect to hardware and operating systems. If application partners cover functional support on the business logic and ‘look and feel' layer, Schuberg Philis will always assume overall responsibility. Our service model guarantees transparency in responsibilities and governance, with only one objective: to keep customer applications up and running, 24 hours a day, 365 days per year.
Amongst other alliances Sun Microsystems and Schuberg Philis have been working together on a long-term basis to provide infrastructure solutions to meet the business goals of our clients. This long-term relationship has led to Schuberg Philis being selected by Sun (the Netherlands) as their Outsourcing Partner of the year 2007.
