
Bryan Schutmaat
Since he picked up photography in 2003, Bryan Schutmaat’s photos have been exhibited and published in North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. He is a member of Young Photographer’s United, and last year his work was published in Humble Arts Foundation’s Collector’s Guide to Emerging Art Photography, as well as on the cover of Margret Atwood’s Mort en lisiere. Most recently, his photos were shown in exhibitions at Jen Bekman Gallery in New York and at the Houston Center for Photography. Bryan holds a BA in history from the University of Houston and is currently pursuing an MFA in photography at the University of Hartford, studying under artists such as Robert Lyons, Doug Dubois, and Alec Soth. Bryan’s work can be found at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, as well as in numerous private collections.
