Mikel Aristregi
Born in Hernani (Basque Country) in 1975. After graduating in Journalism for the University of the Basque Country, in 1999 he moves to Barcelona where begins studies of photography at the Institut of Photography Studies of Catalonia (IEFC). His main motivation for taking photos is to live situations and meet people about whom existence he would never known without a camera. In 2008 he get one of the prestigious Fotopres international photojournalism grant or New Photography FNAC Talent Prize (Spain) in 2006, both around social documentalist projects.
