Jose Javier Serrano
Designer and photographer José Javier Serrano (artistic name Yosigo) is a young artist from San Sebastián. He has a different way of looking to the world around him, showing its aesthetic power to the fullest. Yosigo turns around what we see everyday with his pictures, and shows us his very particular and personal version of it.
Yosigo’s way of looking – colours, composition, the chosen elements.- gives his work a unmistaken personality, very recognisable work process, which constitutes a different approach to artistic expression, getting what in literature is snobbly called “his own voice”.
Besides, his passion for photography doesn’t hide his other passion (and source of income): graphic design. In some interviews he’s aknowledged that design has influenced the apporach to composition in his photographic work, where straight lines and symmetry are heavily present as well as in his exhibitions.
